ChickenCam is Live!
As many of you know A.H. Mercantile Company “Global Headquarters” is actually a nice little place out in the rural foothills of San Diego County, California. Aside from our online stores, we also run a modest-sized farmstead complete with fields, herb gardens, goats, ducks, geese, chickens, and all sorts of visiting wildlife courtesy of the Audubon preserve that borders the property.
Just for fun we’ve set up a live webcam in what we call the “lower yard” — an acre or so fenced to keep our poultry in and the coyotes and bobcats out. From 8am to 8pm Pacific time the camera will be broadcasting whatever is that chickens, ducks, geese, et al do during the day (you know — Watch TV, read the newspaper, play chess, etc.). So if you’ve got some extra time, tune in and see what’s going on the yard. (Oh, if you see that the goats have gotten out of their pasture and are eating the orange trees and running amuck, please feel free to call us right away!)
You can catch our “chickencam” right here.
* Please note — watching the chickencam requires a “java applet”. If you don’t have it in your web browser already, your computer will ask you if you want to install the plugin.
